Breathtaking views and unforgettable experiences
Breathtaking views and unforgettable experiences
Participants will learn how to plan and implement outdoor learning in a meaningful, engaging, and safe way. They will become familiar with key principles and advantages of learning in nature, which provides a real-world learning experience and promotes deep learning. Outdoor learning offers students an exceptional, exciting, and different experience compared to traditional classroom instruction, enhancing engagement, motivation, curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
The course will enable participants to experience various approaches to learning in a natural environment and develop new skills for creating a stimulating and also inclusive learning environment.
Learning in nature increases motivation and improves academic performance, as students and children find it easier to understand and retain knowledge. Exposure to nature enhances focus, contributing to greater learning success. It also fosters creativity and critical thinking, as problem-solving in a natural setting—through exploration, observation, and hands-on challenges—encourages innovative approaches to learning. Interdisciplinary learning in a natural environment allows for the integration of various subjects, such as science, mathematics, visual arts, biology, geography, and languages, promoting holistic thinking. Nature-based education offers support for teachers by enabling creative teaching methods, innovative approaches to delivering content, mentorship, and research-based learning.
